Insert Premium Screens

Insert premium screens consist of Premium discs that are flush mounted and secured into the base pipe, thereby creating an economical screen that is significantly stronger than slotted liner and offers much greater open flow area (OFA).

Insert premium screen’s cost-effective geometry provides significantly more torsion, compression, and collapse strength than slotted liner, which is crucial for horizontal wells, especially thermal wells such  as  SAGD .

The standard cartridges (discs) are 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) diameter and 0.25 inches thick, and made of many layers of 316L stainless steel sintered mesh—all  fusion  bonded  together  to   provide high permeability and strength.  Smaller discs are available for thin-walled pipes. The layup of weaves can be optimized for a given application. A wide  range  of  micron ratings  are  available  to  optimize  sand  control  and  retained  permeability.
